About John Magyar Photography
Photography presented my first opportunity to create visuals that communicated. As a film director, I owe my composition and love for lighting to my late teen years when I finally owned my first SLR, experimenting with no concern for how I would pay for the process and printing.
I was fortunate to have grown up in a Latin country and later had many opportunities to travel to more than 30 countries world-wide for film/video production, and always took time to shoot stills while there. I have "communicated" with people of many cultures whose language I did not speak, because I could visually tell a story.
My goal is to capture, be it for motion picture or a single frame, a story that may not otherwise be told.
